Jason Smith (Take Note’s founder and leader) is an Auckland based professional musician with more than 25 years experience in the entertainment industry providing great live music and offering huge variety of genre to choose from, whether it be music from the 50’s through to today’s chart toppers.

Jason Smith Solo, or the Take Note Duo (featuring Bass Player extrodinaire Paul Martinovich), are available to entertain you at any level of function, large or small – whether it be a wedding, birthday, corporate event, or your public bar.  The members have been ‘hand picked’ for their talent, their versatility, their professionalism, and their love of live music & performance.

Options for clientele include anything from acoustic ‘chilled out’ background ambience through to a full on dance-floor packed production and lighting show… or a bit of both if that’s what your function requires. You can be assured there will be ‘a little of something for everyone’ from Take Note’s highly polished and energetic performances.

They provide their own ‘state of the art’ P.A System  and stage lighting, needing just a single power point to operate.
