Ruby Tuesday is Christina Cusiel’s solo presentation, perfect for your wedding or a great back ground option for a more intimate event.
Christina gives enchanting treatment to folk, pop, and rock classics from Eva Cassidy, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and more… Christina will accompany herself on guitar or piano.
Christina Cusiel is considered one of New Zealand’s leading vocalists. She was classically trained from the age of ten. She went on to become a graduate of the Christchurch Jazz School.
As an 18 year old she performed at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, with vocal trio Midas Touch, followed by a New Zealand tour, and three opening spots for the legendary Dionne Warwick.
Christina returned to Wellington following overseas peformances to focus on her original music and travelling with Gary McCormick for his Millennium Man tour, which also starred David Lange and Sam Hunt.
She was named AWIA Wellington Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year, and began working with The Roger Fox Band. This again gave way to the formation of soul-fusion band Lady Marmalade, which also featured Warren Maxwell (Trinity Roots) and Aaron Tokona (Weta).
