Wow Mira Lacey was fantastic

Hi there David, Wow Mira Lacey was fantastic I just wish we had more time to have booked her and her Guitarist, for longer, They sounded awe sum the atmosphere they created out on the paseo, At Half a moon bay marina was uplifting to say the least, She was beyond our expectations and I would recommend her to anybody that wants a class act to polish whatever event they maybe planning. Milford Reserve

We have had so many expressions of thanks for the pleasure the concert brought to people. It was a delight to see the audience appreciating the true musicianship you each brought to the performance. Your song selection was perfectly suited to the heritage theme, but I also think your arrangements gave them a unique feel that was distinctly your and the band's own style. People not just in the marquee but all over the Milford Reserve enjoyed your lovely rich tones and the sheer pleasure of an afternoon of jazz. The best music of the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s

The Mira Lacey Ensemble features the exquisite alto voice of Mira Lacey, backed by some of Auckland’s finest jazz musicians. Mira’s unique, sophisticated style is reminiscent of jazz divas Julie London and Peggy Lee. Performing her own tasteful arrangements of sultry jazz, blues and bossa-novas, Mira creates the perfect ambience for any concert, wedding, private or corporate function, café, restaurant or bar.

Mira received a Sarah Vaughn Jazzmaster’s Incentive Award for study at Berklee College of Music, and after earning her Bachelor of Music degree with honours in Vocal Performance, she began her career in the Boston area. Over the past thirteen years Mira has performed locally at numerous events, weddings, parties, festivals, corporate functions, bars and restaurants, receiving rave reviews at each and every performance.

The Mira Lacey Ensemble features some of the best music of the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, including songs recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Julie London, Blossom Dearie, June Christy, Astrud Gilberto and many other fine jazz vocalists. Songs by contemporary artists Norah Jones and Melody Gardot are also part of Mira’s repertoire.

Mira’s ensemble specializes in providing exceptional jazz for concerts, events, weddings, corporate functions, vineyards, parties, Christmas functions, balls, building openings, conferences and product launches, as well as restaurants and bars. The size of her group is flexible, depending on your needs, from an intimate duo or trio, ideal for restaurants, to a full band of five or six musicians. (Please indicate which size group you would prefer when requesting a quote). We provide a high quality sound system for small to medium size venues.
