Karen Heathcote, a well respected and nationally acclaimed harpist is available to play at private functions, corporate parties, events and weddings. Her broad repertoire can be tailored to suit your special occasion -from the romance of “Fly me to the moon” and “When I fall in love” to the sensual pulse of South American rhythms or delicate and enchanting renditions of Handel and Bach to popular hits like “Don’t Cry for me Argentina” and “All I ask of You” or perhaps a haunting, evocative medley of Celtic songs…

In addition, Karen’s past musical experience includes performances throughout New Zealand as a professional opera singer.

• Much praised performance accompanying a private dinner at Government House for HRH, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York with a personal expression of thanks from the guest of honour
• Listed musician with international cruise lines P & O Cruises and Princess Line, for guest musician performances
• Accompanied Elaine Page for gala concert to open the new St James Theatre
• Selected to sing both national anthems at the 1996 Bledisloe Cup match to a capacity crowd and world-wide television audience
• Invited to appear as soloist with Dame Malvina Major in a month long concert tour of New Zealand, and separately for an outdoor opera concert with the Auckland Philharmonia
• Participated in Opera NZ production with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa
• Semi-finalist in 1998 Mobil Song Quest
• Appeared with orchestras and festivals around the world
