ABOUT THE HIPNOTICS
The HIPNOTICS are an 8 piece RnB Soul band featuring Kiwi singing sensation LaDean who recently returned from Australia where she has been touring full time in a Gospel Show Band for the past 12 years. The Hipnotics also feature from the Hootenannies; Jeanette (saxophone), Helen (trumpet), and Sonya (trombone). On bass is one of NZs most celebrated musical exports, Simon Koperu, who too has recently returned to NZ after a dynamic career as one of Japan’s leading bass players, performing on countless sessions and recordings and with a host of International stars. David Greer plays guitar and also sings. On drums is 21 year old new kid on the block, drummer Baileigh Sparks, and the band is rounded off by its Musical Director, Caleb Brbich (keyboards).

The HIPNOTICS perform RnB Soul classics and modern tunes by artists such as Lizzo, Michael Jackson, The Commitments, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Harry Styles, Dua Lupa, Earth Wind and Fire, Bruno Mars and even a couple of original tunes.

“I wanted to drop you a note to (formally) thank you for a truly fantastic performance from the Hipnotics at my 50th Do at Prefab Hall last night.
I stopped counting the number of people that came up to me during the night to say how fantastic the band were – and in the next breath what an amazing singer and performer the lead singer (Christina) is.It has been a similar theme this morning. I have received numerous texts and emails from friends saying what a great night they had and, without exception, everyone has mentioned the band.
