In an environment which has seen a bewildering number of pub Irish bands come and go The Jimmies have remained consistently true to the roots of the music and at 19 years is the city’s longest surviving ceilidh band.
The Jimmies are: Mary Hubble – vocals, flute, whistles; Kevin Ikin – vocals, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, guitar and drums; David (Ned) Knowles – vocals, guitars; Ann McChesney – keyboards, vocals; Ruairidh Morrison fiddle, flute, whistles and concertina; Bob Silbery – contra-bass.
